Baby oil burns cleaner and doesn’t smell unless it’s been perfumed with something. If you trim the wick short enough, it doesn’t give off smoke either.

You probably want to remove the sardines first.

After that we kept flashlights and a few candles in the house.

I wonder how much battery and flashlight sales jumped in the week after the blackout.
